After After 25 years of living in New York City and building a career in the fashion industry, my family and I traded city life for the Hudson Valley in 2021. I had always loved gardening, cooking, baking, and bringing people together around a beautiful table, but moving to the country gave me the space—and perhaps the confidence—to discover a few new passions as well. I fell in love with renovating and DIY, learning that I’m happiest with a garden project underway, something in the oven, an event to plan, or a wall waiting to be knocked down. (And if a room feels too dark, I’ve been known to add a window.)

As women, so much of our lives can feel like a series of either/or decisions: career or motherhood, work or family, time for ourselves or time for everyone else. At this point in my life, I decided I didn’t want to choose. I wanted to do all the things that bring me joy. So that’s exactly what I do. I plan events, grow gardens, cook and bake, renovate my home, tackle DIY projects, and create beautiful spaces and experiences for the people around me. This next chapter is less about choosing one path and more about following all the paths that make me happy—and seeing where they lead.
